Cousins | A fun night on the track

Anytime these cousins get together, bikes must be included in the activities. They take biking very seriously. We were so glad that they could do this bike race together.  

And this little man wanted to join his big brother and cousin so badly! Maybe next year little guy! He caught the bike fever and wanted to ride after we got home. I think he will catch on pretty fast.

Race for Life | Fin on wheels

Loved every minute.

To him, this is serious business.

Today was a special "Race for Life" event at the track. Fin did great in his event.

Boys in flight | Aviation experts | Brother Session

as a little girl, i loved to play dress up! i dreamed of someday playing dress up and having tea parties with my own girls someday. 

now that i am grown and married, i have been blessed with two beautiful boys and couldn't be happier. as great as things have turned out for me, i never imagined what life would be like with two little boys. 

not a lot of tea parties.

no nail polish.

no braids (unless Fin tries to do my hair).

no fancy dresses.

not a whole lot playing dress up.

browsing some work of awesome photographers, i fell in love with this session and knew i needed to do one with my boys! the whole concept was right up their alley. they zoom with their motors going (mouths making engine sounds)  almost constantly. costumes just seem to make playtime extra special.

p.s. (i want my own aviator hat and jet pack.)

life with my sweet boys consists of:

zooming around.

engines roaring.

running fast.

helping each other along.

cute grins.

on the move.

life at full speed.

Advice | Learning as we go

my boys teach me.

every. single. day.

i want to share some of what i've learned with you.

here is my advice for today.

enjoy the little things in life.

life is in the details.

the world is full of treasures, you have to take the time to look around.

sometimes dirt tastes better than pureed carrots.

run at your own pace.

it is fun sometimes to try and race along at everyone else's speed.

don't get overwhelmed when you can't keep up.

just keep going.
